Strategy, not indulgence

The clients I serve know a secret.

They know that investing in coaching isn’t self-indulgent, it’s strategy.

It helps them unlock insights that change the game for them.

Sometimes, it’s an awareness of the things that energize them and drain them of energy.

Other times, it’s the recognition that they’ve outgrown their stale habits and need new ones.

Still other times, it is the realization that some of their beliefs are no longer serving them and it’s time to update them.

Sometimes they need to update their self-concept.

They learn not to get in their own way.

They get the clarity they need to move forward.

They realize confidence is a result, not a requirement.

They practice the skills they need to use out in the world to create the future they want.

But these are all benefits of coaching.

What happens as a result of these benefits looks like magic.

  • held a powerful conversation with their boss

  • their once-adversarial boss shows up in a supportive way

  • a series of conversations that shape the direction of a major project at work

  • launched a business that innovates in their fields

  • created positions for themself that didn’t previously exist because they reached out and made a bold proposal

  • embraced leadership and C-suite roles and brought their authenticity to their leadership positions

  • created teams that work out of their strengths

  • received two job offers in one day

  • left draining jobs to create opportunities for themselves that were energizing and meaningful

  • created energizing work environments not because anything external changed, but because they changed how they showed up for work

  • become better advocates for themselves on their teams and with their managers to shape opportunities they are uniquely suited to do

  • made career choices in integrity with their values

  • created new beliefs that support them in engaging in crucial conversations, establishing healthy boundaries, and being at their best at work and in life
