Environment is stronger than willpower

Creating your environment is one of the most crucial elements of living a created life.

When you create your environment, your environment, in turn, creates you.

I am living proof of this.

In the past couple of weeks, as part of our spring cleaning, I have re-designed my pantry.

As much as I adored the matching wicker baskets I had been using to try to bring organization, it was failing misreably.

Baskets were overloaded, I couldn’t find what I was looking for, and had no idea what was actually there.

With my new design, I can see everything at a glance.

Nothing is overstuffed.

It all makes sense.

Bringing order out of the chaos was rewarding, but I couldn’t quite anticipate the positive spillover that I experienced next.

Because I could see everything in my pantry, I could make mental grocery lists.

And then the really wild thing happened.

My inspiration to cook took off.

It’s not that I don’t enjoy cooking.

But life is so full right now, I don’t use a lot of my energy on meal planning and cooking.

However, the energetic shift brought about by an organized pantry is giving me new energy for cooking.

My environment is truly creating me.

A new me, that can’t wait to be in the kitchen and make the next meal or do the next baking project.

No amount of willpower could have produced the joy and energy I have because of my newly created environment.

What is a goal or desire you have?

And how do you need to create your environment so that it can create you?
